Thousands of blessings

It's my favorite holiday again.

Time to say thank you.

Thank God for morning, for blue skies, and autumn sunshine.
The clouds blow away, along with the bad dreams.

Oh the pleasure of counting our blessings!

Blessings shining and abundant as the glowing birch trees along the river bank.

 Yes, there's adversity.
But there's also joy and peace and abundance.

Time for looking at leaves blowing in the wind
and the smile of the three year old next door.

This is the week for noticing, for saying thank you, for gratitude for the million and one gifts we've been given.

Blessings more uncountable than the leaves fluttering on the birches...

May they all be yours in abundance this Thanksgiving.

Hello Sharyn, I want to wish you and your family a happy and blessed Thanksgiving Day. You've gotten a good start on it already.

That goose in flight is pure poetry!

My children and I are always so thankful for the beauty you share on your blog - your words and your pictures. I am sorry for the trials you have been going through, but like you, so thankful for the way they bring us closer to the Lord and deepen our appreciation and understanding for the the things that are true and lasting. God bless you and Happy Thanksgiving

Dear Sharyn,

A blessed Thanksgiving to you, beautiful weaver of words and images! I had to go read your last post to see what had happened; I know that you will overcome this disability with your strong faith, and find the blessings within. Someone once said that "incurable" means "curable from within." I truly believe that statement, and will be praying for you to find yours.

Love and hugs from Kansas City,

All of our leaves are gone now. We are heading into cold winter! But it always means
warm glowing coals in the woodstove.

How are you my friend?
