Walnut ink... a happy little tutorial

True confession:

I'm an inkaholic.

My stash is almost embarrassingly huge.
But only ALMOST.

An artist can never have enough ink.
That's why every autumn I get an itch to make a batch of homemade walnut ink.

It's free and lovely and you can boil yourself a batch of loveliness if you want...
It's so easy!

Here's how:

The only thing better than ink from your own kitchen is ink from a friend.
If you would like a bottle of mine, just post me an email here, or comment on Facebook or here.
I'll randomly choose one entry on October 10th and post a little bottle of goodness to the winner.

Tres chic, dear friends!

I love that we have the same colander! What a neat idea to use those nuts that end up all over the grass.

Thank you for the ink tutorial and the opportunity to win a bottle! Love following your blog and also love that you post on Saturdays since the other blogs I follow are primarily weekday affairs.

Loved the tutorial, Sharyn. Unfortunately, we don\'t have walnut trees down here in this area. I\'ll just hope I win a bottle from you. By the way, your voice sounds great. Look forward to more pics from your trip. Hugs...Sharon

Hi Sharyn, I just watched your video. Not looking to win a bottle of ink (and it's too late anyway - LOL) . . . this reminded me of one of my childhood homes that had a huge walnut tree! I haven't seen a walnut tree anywhere I have lived since then! It certainly is easy to make this ink; thanks for the tutorial. You remind me so much of the actress Diane Steenbergen in this video.
