I've been looking up lately, have you?

Sometimes when the weather turns gray, it's easy to forget the bright side, to stop looking for the patches of sunshine and blue sky between the clouds.

But a glance up shows the clouds scudding by, a peek at the sun, a hint of glorious blue.

That's the perfect time to tie on your tennies, grab a leash and go for a pleasant half hour letting the wind (yes, even the rain sometimes!) blow through your hair and simply enjoy the clouds, the sky, the weather and the time alone outdoors.

And when you only see the gray, remember there is brilliant blue and shining silver high above the clouds.

Smile bravely at the raindrops and sing!

Thank you for the reminder to look beyond the gray, something we all need to do here in western WA! Your photos brightened my day.

Dear Sharyn,

Ah, clouds! Was there ever anything so lovely? Have you ever read the essay by John Ruskin on the sky? I read it in an old school book.

How few of us actually appreciate the beauties all around us~ I'm so glad that you do!

Love,

Marqueta
