Focus

My word for this year is "enough."

I want to remind myself that by God's grace I'm good enough.
I have enough.
Enough stuff.
Enough time.
Enough of everything.
That nasty little voice in my head that whispers, "you're not good enough" needs to be silenced with the truth that yes, I'm already good enough.
I will insist on using a standard of grace, not perfection.
Enough.
I think I'm going to love this word.
Do you have a word of the year?
An emphasis you're aiming for?
If you do, I'd love to hear what it is and what it means to you.

If you want to see who else chose the same focus you have, you can go to OneWord365 and connect with others or find ideas for words you might like to consider.

My word is 'lean in'. The LORD has given me gifts that are at times uncomfortable and so I have denied or coward from them. He has now revealed them in such a way that I cannot deny anymore. He has said to me that He wants me to lean in to these gifts. I have already seen how He has empowered me to do this and as a result His joy has returned. I have found myself feeling much more than I care to and at the same time leaning in to it and asking Him what it means and what do I do with it. I am overjoyed by this season of leaning in.
