Friends are coming...

There's another photo shoot on the calendar so the studio is humming with activity.

Today Annie and I are scrubbing and scrambling, trying to make order from the chaos that is this hard-working little cottage in the garden.

The roses are blooming by the door...

Just beyond the back door cherries are ripening, hopefully perfectly timed for the Artist Retreat happening here shortly.

Beside the cherry tree the gazebo is covered in heirloom roses and clematis I bought for fifty cents at a plant sale at the edge of the road a few years ago...

Inside work goes on fast and furious, there's so much more than the preparations for the artist retreat.

There's another cartridge in the works for the CriCut machine and loads of greeting cards and other fun products which are still in the works at this point.
Napkins and guest towels have just gone into production and there's much, much more.
Here's a sneak peek at a napkin:

The new fabrics are about to ship from Clothworks Textiles.

and the tea sets are arriving from Pine Ridge Art.

And hooray! The Artist Retreat here in just a few days is keeping me hopping!
I'll share the preparations, and then while the friends are here I know I won't be able to resist showing you peeks at the fun.
BrendaSusanBarb, and Kristen will be here... we'll miss having Caroline, who is the absolute essence of Southern Belle (and by the way, she's having some juicy giveaways on her blog this week!)

We're planning lots of artsy goodness, bike trips, ferry rides and other Pacific Northwest adventures. I can hardly wait to share it with you!

Each of the artists will sketch away in a handmade book like this one.

I'll show you how to make them soon, so you can do one of your own!
